How are they related?

Both calculators run the identical math engine. The only difference is which input you control directly — farm capacity, or physical layout. Outputs reconcile bit-identically when equivalent inputs are entered (verified in the debug report). Each file is fully self-contained (no internet required) and works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
